The Industrial Flanged Y-Strainer is the primary line of defense for pumps, meters, control valves, and steam traps. By mechanically removing solids from the flowing media, it prevents catastrophic equipment failure and reduces unscheduled maintenance costs in complex piping networks.

Heavy-Duty Structural Integrity

Designed for the rigors of heavy industry, these strainers feature a thick-walled cast body available in SS 316L for maximum corrosion resistance. Unlike smaller threaded versions, the flanged design provides a secure, leak-proof interface for large-diameter headers. The Bolted Cover design ensures that the internal screen remains seated even under significant pressure surges or “slugging” within the pipeline.

Efficient Maintenance with Blow-Off Ports

To minimize downtime, each strainer is equipped with a NPT Blow-off Port in the cover. This allows for the “blow-down” cleaning of the screen without stopping the process flow—simply by installing a blow-off valve. When a deep clean is required, the bolted cover can be easily removed to access the high-capacity stainless steel screen.

 

Engineered for Performance

Our strainers are designed with a large open-area ratio (the ratio between the screen area and the pipe cross-section). This ensures that the unit can collect a significant amount of debris before requiring cleaning, all while maintaining a low pressure drop to preserve system efficiency.
