Product Overview
A Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) is the final line of defense in an industrial fluid system. Its primary function is to protect life, property, and equipment by venting pressurized media (liquid, gas, or steam) when the system pressure rises above a safe operating limit.
Precision Spring-Loaded Mechanism
Our PRVs utilize a high-tension, corrosion-resistant stainless steel spring that holds the valve disc against the seat. When the system pressure exerts a force greater than the spring’s pre-set tension, the disc lifts, allowing the excess pressure to escape through the discharge port. Once the pressure returns to a safe level (the “blowdown” point), the spring forces the disc back onto the seat, re-sealing the system.
Industrial Grade Reliability
Specifically engineered for integration into Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 piping networks, these valves are built to withstand the rigors of heavy industrial use. The SS 316L construction ensures that the internal “trim” components do not corrode or scale, which is vital for ensuring the valve will actuate reliably even after long periods of inactivity.
