The Needle Valve is a specialized type of globe valve used for the highly accurate control of fluids and gases. While gate and ball valves are designed for quick shut-off, the needle valve’s unique internal geometry allows for “micro-metering,” where the flow can be increased or decreased in tiny increments.
Precision Micro-Metering
The core of the needle valve is a long, tapered needle-like plunger that fits perfectly into a matched seat. This design creates a large surface area for regulation, ensuring that even under high pressure, the flow can be adjusted with absolute precision. This is critical for protecting sensitive instruments from sudden pressure surges and for fine-tuning chemical injection rates.
Forged High-Pressure Integrity
Unlike standard utility valves, our needle valves are forged from a single piece of AISI 316L Stainless Steel. This process eliminates porosity and ensures the valve can safely handle extreme pressures up to 6000 PSI. The heavy-walled construction is designed to match the mechanical requirements of Schedule 80 and high-pressure tubing systems.
Leak-Proof Instrumentation Seal
Equipped with a precision-machined bonnet and a T-bar handle for high-leverage operation, our needle valves provide a bubble-tight metal-to-metal seal. The threads are located outside the flow path to prevent “galling” and corrosion, ensuring that the valve remains easy to operate over thousands of cycles in harsh industrial environments.
