Product Overview
Selecting the correct filler metal is vital for maintaining the mechanical and chemical integrity of a stainless steel piping system. Our Industrial Welding Wire is manufactured with strict control over chemical composition and surface cleanliness to ensure defect-free welds in high-pressure and corrosive environments.
The Importance of “L” Grade Filler
We prioritize the “L” (Low Carbon) designation in our ER308L and ER316L stock. The reduced carbon content (typically <0.03%) is critical when welding schedule pipes, as it prevents carbide precipitation during the cooling process. This ensures the weld zone remains as corrosion-resistant as the base metal, particularly in the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ).
Precision Engineering for Pipe Welding
Our welding wire is designed for high-performance welding on both thin-walled Schedule 10 and heavy-wall Schedule 80 pipes.
-
TIG Rods (GTAW): Feature embossed ends for easy grade identification and are cleaned to a high standard to prevent porosity in the root pass.
-
MIG Wire (GMAW): Wound with consistent tension on precision spools to ensure a smooth, tangle-free feed through industrial robotic or manual welding torches.
Metallurgy & Compliance
All filler metals are manufactured to AWS A5.9 and ASME SFA-5.9 specifications. Whether you are welding SS 304L using ER308L or SS 316L using ER316L, our wires provide a balanced chemistry that promotes a stable arc and excellent wetting action, resulting in X-ray quality welds.
