Product Overview
The Weld Neck Flange is engineered for systems where safety and durability are the highest priorities. It is easily distinguished by its long, tapered hub, which provides a gradual transition of stress from the flange to the pipe. This design makes it exceptionally resistant to dishing and mechanical fatigue caused by high pressure, extreme temperatures, and turbulence.
Superior Joint Strength & Flow
The “neck” of the flange is bored to match the specific wall thickness of the pipe (Schedule 10, 40, or 80). This creates a smooth, continuous transition at the joint, eliminating the turbulence and internal erosion common with other flange types. The butt-weld connection allows for easy X-ray or ultrasonic testing, ensuring the weld meets the highest safety standards for critical-service infrastructure.
High-Pressure Performance
Weld neck flanges are the preferred choice for systems subject to severe fluctuations in temperature and pressure. The hub design distributes the mechanical load across a wider area, preventing stress concentrations at the weld point. This makes them indispensable for Class 150 to Class 2500 applications where system failure is not an option.
Industrial Grade Metallurgy
Fabricated from AISI 304 or 316L Stainless Steel, our flanges offer exceptional resistance to environmental corrosion and internal chemical attack. The SS 316L variant is specifically recommended for offshore and refinery environments where chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking is a primary concern.
