Product Overview
The Hex Bushing is a compact and efficient fitting used for “reducing” the size of a female threaded port. By screwing the male end into a larger fitting (like a tee, elbow, or coupling), it provides a smaller female connection point, allowing for the integration of smaller pipes, valves, or instruments into a primary header.
Compact “Space-Saving” Design
[Image showing a hex bushing installed inside a larger threaded tee] Unlike a standard concentric reducer, the hex bushing fits almost entirely inside the larger fitting, leaving only the hexagonal head exposed. This makes it the preferred choice for tight manifolds, modular process skids, and instrument mounting where space is at a premium.
Forged vs. Cast Performance
We offer two distinct grades to match your system’s pressure requirements:
-
150# Investment Cast: Ideal for general utility services, low-pressure water management, and food processing environments.
-
3000# Forged: Heavy-duty fittings designed for high-pressure hydraulic lines, steam distribution, and chemical processing where safety and wall thickness are critical.
Precision Machined Threads
All our bushings feature precision-cut NPT or BSP threads. The hexagonal head is designed for high-torque application with standard wrenches, ensuring a secure, vibration-resistant seal when used with industrial-grade thread sealants.
