Product Overview
In hygienic processing, the geometry of a reduction is critical to system drainability. Our Eccentric Reducers (Dairy) are designed to join two pipes of different diameters while keeping one side of the pipeline completely flat. This asymmetrical design is essential for maintaining a clean and sterile process environment.
Preventing Liquid Entrapment
Unlike concentric reducers, the eccentric design allows for a flat flow path along the bottom of horizontal pipelines. This prevents the “puddling” or accumulation of product that occurs in symmetrical reducers, which can lead to bacterial growth or cross-contamination. This makes them a mandatory component for systems requiring full Clean-in-Place (CIP) drainage.
Optimized for Horizontal Flow
By aligning the bottom or top of the pipes, these reducers effectively manage fluid transit without creating air pockets (when the flat side is on top) or liquid traps (when the flat side is on the bottom). This precision engineering ensures that delicate products like milk, pharmaceutical batches, or craft beers are transported without compromise.
High-Purity Manufacturing Standards
Our eccentric reducers meet the stringent requirements of SMS 1145 and DIN 11851. Every fitting is mechanically polished to an internal surface roughness of Ra < 0.8μm, ensuring a mirror-smooth finish that resists product adhesion. The use of low-carbon AISI 316L Stainless Steel provides superior protection against the aggressive cleaning chemicals used in B2B industrial sterilization cycles.
