The Threaded Y-Strainer is an indispensable component for the protection of pumps, meters, and control valves in small-bore pipeline systems. Its compact “Y” configuration allows for efficient mechanical filtration of solids from liquid, gas, or steam flows with minimal space requirements.
Compact & Rugged Construction
Each strainer is investment cast from AISI 304 or 316 Stainless Steel, providing excellent resistance to internal erosion and external environmental corrosion. Unlike large flanged units, the threaded design is optimized for modular skids and tight plant layouts, offering a high pressure-to-weight ratio suitable for 1000 WOG (Water, Oil, Gas) service.
Simplified Maintenance
The strainer features a threaded Hex-Head Cap, allowing for rapid removal of the screen for cleaning or replacement. For systems requiring frequent flushing, the cap can be drilled and tapped for a blow-off valve. This “plug-and-play” maintenance ensures that your downstream instrumentation remains protected from pipe scale and debris without significant system downtime.
High-Integrity Filtration
Our strainers come standard with a heavy-duty stainless steel perforated screen. For finer filtration requirements, we offer optional stainless steel mesh liners. The internal seat is precision-machined to ensure the screen is perfectly centered, preventing any “bypass” of unfiltered media.
